Are Porsche Cars and SUVs Reliable?

You may not have heard, but Porsche was recently ranked second among car manufacturers by J.D. Power’s 2019 Vehicle Dependability Study. What’s more, the Porsche 911 was the highest-ranked vehicle in the entire study.

Porsche Ranked Second Most Reliable Brand

The J.D. 2019 Power Vehicle Dependability Study ranked brands and vehicles based on how many problems were reported per 100 vehicles, or PP100. After polling almost 33,000 owners of 2016 model-year cars, they found that Porsche tied with Toyota for the second most reliable brand with 108PP100, just two behind the first-place brand.

According to J.D. Power, Porsche scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in the Overall, Exterior and Interior, and Features and Controls categories, followed by a 9 out of 10 in the Mechanical category. Doylestown drivers won’t be surprised to learn that the 2016 Porsche 911 was determined to have been the most reliable car in the automotive industry over the last three years, while the 2016 Macan also ranked highly in the compact premium SUV class.

Porsche Macan

The 2016 Porsche Macan matched the highest scores in its class in Overall, Exterior and Interior, and Features and Controls. This five-seat luxury SUV is both an incredibly comfortable ride and a powerful, sporty option for those Willow Grove drivers who like their SUV with some attitude.

Porsche 911

The new Porsche 911 is a true car-lover’s sports car. The 911 dominates the streets with unassailable handling, powertrain options that provide as much as 690 horsepower, and an athletic figure that turns heads from Huntingdon Valley to Newtown, PA. And because it’s a Porsche, the interior is loaded with the latest technologies and is exceptionally well-appointed seating options.
