This Porsche Doesn't Horse Around

Though it's name – Taycan – roughly translates to "lively young horse", this new model from Porsche is anything but funny. You might even go so far as to say that this Porsche doesn't horse around. It's a serious sports car. But that doesn't mean it's not fun – not by a longshot. Are our double-negatives confusing? Let's make ourselves clearer. The new Porsche Taycan all-electric sports car, set to compete against rivals like the Tesla Model S and BMW i8, is heralding a new future of meaner, greener sports cars for Porsche. In the words of Oliver Blume, chairman of the executive board of Porsche AG, the Taycan "...is strong and dependable; it’s a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomises freedom”. Plus, with over 600-horsepower, the Taycan, which is set to be released sometime next year, is poised to perform in all the ways that matter most.
