New 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T Released

A new year is fast approaching, and with it comes the timely release of a new Porsche model: the Porsche 911 Carrera T. The Porsche 911 Carrera T nameplate was originally introduced in 1968. Fifty years later, the nameplate has come back, just in time for the 2018 model year! But the new Porsche Carrera T isn't just a Carrera with a fancy name; far from it.

When you compare the 2018 Carrera T ("T" signifies "Touring") with the regular Carrera, you'll find an immense weight savings, a manual transmission with a shorter constant transaxle ratio, plus a standard mechanical rear differential lock. You'll also find many features to enhance performance that are Carrera-T-specific. These include a PASM Sport Suspension that rides lower than a regular Carrera, a shortened gear gear lever with embossed red accents, Sport-Tex interior seat inserts, and more. Carrera T glass panels are also significantly lighter than regular Carrera glass for increased dynamism and weight-savings.

At 3,142 pounds, this new Porsche model is the lightest and perhaps most dynamic Porsche in the Carrera line yet. Fitted with aerodynamic features like a special spoiler lip and aesthetic upgrades like grey-painted SportDesign mirrors, titanium grey 20-inch Carrera S wheels, and new 911 Carrera T badging painted Agate Grey, this is one special new Porsche you're not likely to miss when you see it. But you will most definitely miss out if you don't drive one! Contact us here at Porsche Warrington if you'd like to find out more about the 911 Carrera T, Porsche's newest model!
